It is not mathematically possible for Caerphilly, unfortunately for them, to go on to win the SWPL this season, and the crunch match will be between Cardigan and Cardiff, at Nidum in Round 5, and one of these two teams will win the league. But a drawn match, thanks to Caerphilly's efforts, will now see Cardiff, rather than Cardigan, staying on top. Nidum travelled to Monmouth on Sunday but, in spite of being at least 100 ELO points stronger on every board, could only draw the match. |
